LB2120 Not seeing WAN connection from FTTP ONT

I can connect the mdem up to the 4G network and log in and browse using 4G via a connection to 192.168.5.1.

The LB2120 is set to BRIDGE mode.

However, when I connect the WAN cable from FTTP ONT (which previously was connected into an N600 router) into the blue port, the modem does not see the WAN connection.

So all further so use is pointless.

What am I doing wrong?

  • Did you get this resolved Capell?    I am having the same problem and can't see a solution.

    One possible cause of the problem is that my ISP requires login credentials that are set on the main router (R7800 in my case).  These are maybe not being passed through to the ONT by the LB2120 in bridge mode.  The LB2120 can't be used in router mode if I wanted to, as it doesn't support WAN login credentials.

    R7800 <===> LB2120 <===> FTTP-ONT

      Bamboo,

      No, I didn't get it resolved. You've described the problem perfectly, and it was the same as mine. Interestingly, we're both using Netgear routers alongside the LB2120, so you'd think they might have understod the problem before marketing the LB2120.

      It's a great pity this deosn't work. I'ds very much like a fallback from FTTP to a 4G service running on a Pay-As-You-Go SIM, but I don't want to pay over £300 for a router which can do this.

      I read the manual for a resolution to the problem and didn't see possibilities, and since my Netgear support account now shows absolutely no Netgear products, and no case history (why?), I gave up. I returned the LB2120 to the people I'd bought it off and got a full refund under the terms of the Consumer Rights act of 2015 (not working - send it back within 30 days and get a full refund).
