"LM1300 is shipped with a Tracfone SIM. It is expected you use the SIM and activate a new account. " ??
I was able to use both Tmobile and US Cellular SIM with auto setting.

Yes. You are right. I didn't express myself clearly.
LM1300 should work with most of LTE networks in US. But we know there is limitation for Visible, the MVNO of Verison. Since Verizon and Visible both require customised process to go through SIM card activation, LM1300 is currently only support Verizon activation process since the devices can't detect a SIM is Verizon or Visible SIM.

The LM 1300 does recognize my activated VISIBLE SIM. And, it does connect, albeit breifly, then the connection drops. The only way to rule out that this is a hardware problem is excahge this modem for a replacement. I'll let you know if that changes things.
