I am having the exact same issue. I would have replied to your thread with my scenario but I posted a new topic here:
Basically yeah. Works fine on LTE. But switch back to modem and nothing happens. I even get an SMS that the LM1200 switched back to "wireline" -- but my Orbi router still doesn't work.
I tried rebooting the LM1200 with just the cable modem plugged into the WAN. And I tried rebooting the Orbi router. Still nothing. I can only get Internet to come across to the LAN side if the LM1200 is connected to LTE only.
- danlo315Sep 29, 2022TutorUnfortunately I had to give up using the LM1200 for failover purpose. I ended up using my Ubiquiti Edgerouter 4's multi WAN failover functionality instead.
- mbill002Sep 29, 2022Aspirantdanlo315 did you set the default connection to “mobile broadband only” ? And do you have the keep alive turned on? I am getting an edgerouter X today and planning to setup failover there.
- danlo315Sep 29, 2022TutorI tried both (failover as well as mobile only) but didn't really make much of a difference. Keepalive is on.
Going through the EdgeOS GUI's failover wizard did the trick. Be sure to mark the second WAN as failover *only* unless you want to combine bandwidth.
