LM1200 LTE never connects first time connected to USB

Hi,

I have an LM1200 LTE that I often tether to my laptop using USB. The modem has the latest available firmware. If I run the network troubleshooter, the adapter resets, and I get a message saying a gateway has been added. The IP address given is random but generally in the 100.89 range. I'd like to know why it doesn't connect automatically. Under device manager I have two listings for "Other Devices" Android - as if a driver is expected, but can't seem to find anything on the Netgear site that maybe relevant to a Windows 10 driver. 

Any assistance much appreciated.  Works great after running the troubleshooter each time.
