LM1200 not connecting to MB8600 public IP
I have an LM1200-100NAS that is operating the below firmware version:
FW: NTG9X07C_20.06.09.00
PRI version: 04.19
It connects to the mobile broadband just fine. The dashboard graphic displays the public IP addresses provided by T-Mobile.
On the wired side, it is connected to a Motorola MB8600 cable modem with Xfinity service. However, the dashboard graphic displays either 0.0.0.0 (when the MB8600 is booted up first) or the device local IPv4 address of 192.156.100.1 (when the LM1200 is booted up first). The LM1200 fails over to mobile broadband immediately in either case.
JohnPeng, should I be seeing the public IP address provided by Xfinity, or is there something else going wrong?

Thanks for reporting the issue. I can confirm that your device is on the latest release that suppors 2-port failover.
To rule out the basic setup issue, please confirm you connected LM120 LAN port to your computer to access the WebUI and connected LM1200 WAN port to your Motorola Ethernet port.
Another way to debug the issue is to connect your laptop to the cable modem's ethernet port directly and see whether the laptop can get IPV4 or IPv6 address from the modem.
The WAN port connection detection is quite stable. If LM1200 detects the WAN IP address, the graph on WebUI will be updated and display the IP addresses.

Thanks John. (Further to my initial post, the dashboard does display an IPv6 address for the MB8600, but not a public IPv4 address.)
I can confirm that the laptop is connected to the LM1200 LAN port, and the MB8600 WAN port is connected to the LM1200 WAN port.
When I connect my laptop directly to the MB8600, I initially also only had an IPv6 address. After resetting the Ethernet adapter, eventually also got an IPv4 address. I then reconnected the MB8600 to the LM1200, but once again, had no IPv4 address. (Note that the MB8600 works fine when connected directly to the Google router.)

I've also reset the MB8600 to factory defaults. No changes to outcome. When it is wired directly to the Google router, and IPv6 capability is enabled, then the Google router displays nothing for the WAN IP. If I disable IPv6, then the MB8600 public IPv4 address is displayed. It seems like the LM1200 and the Google router have some trouble detecting the MB8600 IPv4 address when IPv6 is enabled. But the Google router continues to function, while the LM1200 does not.
