M2 how to turn on ethernet
How do you get the Ethernet connection to turn on?
I've had it working once but it seems by luck or black magic.

What is the problem you are trying fix?
Is this the MR2100 MobileRouter?
There is support for this device, including manuals, at the end of this link:

- kennngnAspirantYes it's a MR2100 MobileRouter.
I plug in Cat6 cable from my NAS to the Ethernet port on the router.
However it doesn't just become visible to the network.
After some hunting on the internet I found mention that the router's power button needed to be pressed (touched) after a cable had been plugged in so that the pretty would be activated.
I have had that work before a couple of times. But last night I spent a couple of fruitless hours and totally failed to get a connection. No M1 or M2 at hand, there was some discussion about a coming-up firmware for the M1 back then allowing to disable the standby timer - https://community.netgear.com/t5/Mobile-Routers-Hotspots-Modems/Nighthawk-M1-Ethernet-Port-Timeout/td-p/1280809 - worth checking the systems configuration.
