M6 150 Running very hot
My M6 150 bought today, is operating at something between 50 and 70 Degrees Celsius inner (device) temperature according to the webgui diagnostics. This is the case with battery or without, with ...

I am sorry, yes, it is the `MR6150`, I missed the `R`. I have now associated the correct product to my reply.
And yes it runs darn hot.
Average operation temperature (according the online GUI) is around 56C
I have seen the thing saying 74C
Operation mode:
- no battery
- ethernet enabled
- wifi enabled
- one switch connected to the ethernet serving 2 computers, one of which has rather constant, but not heavy chatter (basically used as a home network, it barely even needs to access the actual internet, so, the switch should actually bypass the router for most of its communication)
- additionally 5 wifi devices connected to it, normal civilian usage
The device is new, I registered it and it has genuine serial number etc (I did buy it from a retailer in Hong Kong, where it is currently used).
Environment temperatures here currently are around 31C max (outside), usually cooler inside (air-con)
What I can tell is that when the GUI says around 56C, to the hand touch the device does _not_ feel that hot (I can touch it. 56C cannot be touched without being burnt). However when it reported 74C, the thing was _really_ hot.
It has never shut down as of yet, and I believe the device has a self protection inbuilt to shut down on overheat?
Could it be that the GUI reporting tool is wrong?
You mention:
> average temps run at 44-46 F
I can hardly believe that 🙂
That would be 6C, which even an iPhone surpasses by far.
For reference, this is 6 degrees C above freezing point of water.
It really concerns me because due to the massive price of the device I really want it to not break 😄
(For reference, one of my computers has costed _less_ than this router lol)
