M6 150 Running very hot
My M6 150 bought today, is operating at something between 50 and 70 Degrees Celsius inner (device) temperature according to the webgui diagnostics. This is the case with battery or without, with ...

The latest firmware has temperature protection feature.
from my own testing, the battery overheat icon will start showing up at around 49C battery temperature.
the device itself will start showing a temperature alert at around 60C. so they do get hot up to that point. At 60C it will disconnect your device, if it is being used with a battery, it will stop charging as well.
I have used a fan to help the device cool down. it's fall season where I live and the temps have gone down. so I have 44C operating temp right now.
the device firmware should not let the device heat up to 70+C. please make sure you have updated to the latest firmware. Mine is v12.01.54.00. If you are on the same firmware, I suggest you stop using it and have it check at the store where you bought it. If it is truly that hot, then the temp reporting is probably accurate.

Yes, firmware is up to date.
Since I saw it going to 70+, it is since usually around 56.
Can I ask, where on the device do those temperature alerts appear?
I do not remember seeing that on the device when it was 70+ reported in the online GUI, but also I did not check explicitly.
It did not shut down at that time.
I will go to the shop, I guess.
Thanks!

You should see a temperature alert on the LCD
