M6 MR6110 WIFI zzzz icon

Hi,

I'm using the AT&T MR6100 and from time to time the icon of the Wifi got a "zzzzz" on it.

I mean the Wifi signal is probably "sleeping", and i can't find it with devices.

But i'd like to know why the Wifi is sleeping and how can i wake it up !

Nothing about it on user manual.

Seems it's not related to global Airplane mode on the router...

Seems it's not related to wiring ethernet to the router too...

So if someone can help preventing sleeping Wifi, it would be great !

thanks a lot.

This is the feature to save the battery power. When there is no WiFi client connecting to it, the WiFi will go to sleep mode. The default timer is 5 minutes. You can change it on the Touch UI.

You can press the power button to wake it up.

Hey man mine is doing the same but no matter what I can't get anything to connect to it. I can USB tether to my laptop and get it to work but the printer is wifi so I can't use it.
