Have you tried accessing the webGUI and see if the error appears? Might also help if you take a pic to the actual LCD display next you see this message and post here. that will help other be aware of this mysterious error message. I would also assume you have it on the latest FW?

G'Day
I am still trying to find out what that icon warning is. No one seems to be able to give me an answer. The interesting thing is it doesn't seem to have affected the modems performance (that i can tell anyway!).
My research continues but am very interested if anyone (including Netgear support) has an explanation.

Doing a bit more research, there has been a mention that it is a high temp warning. When my unit is turned on in the morning it works very well, but as the day goes on the unit gets hotter and the performance drops off. It use to lay on a shelf, but now it sits vertical on brackets a few cm from the wall. It takes longer to heat up and good performance lasts longer. That warning triangle stays on all the time, it is there when first turned on.

My modem is on power WTHOUT the battery, or rear cover, fitted. I have rigged a platform which allows it to sit an inch or so above my ethernet switch and allows air to flow through. It is also near a windows. Admittedly I live in central QLD Australia which is sub tropical/tropical and the weather is warm/hot. At the moment the device temp reports 56c so that maybe it but it has never shutdown or reported temp problems. I am a retired computer tech and all my computer equipment never complains of heat. I have a lot of hifi and electrical musical equipment that never suffers from heat problems.
