M6pro constantly overheating

Our m6 pro is constanly overheating. I bought this $900 piece of $#!+ to stream my sons baseball games. We only have it connected to 1 camera and it is constantly overheating, last year and this year. We now just use our phones hotspot. It is updated. We have done with and without battery installed same issue. Sure it's out of their warranty and they won't do crap about it. Do not ever buy netgear hotspots. Search the internet it will show this is super common and the m6pro should've never been released.

  • I've got one and it doesn't overheat. There will always be ones that go bad or have issues. It's why there is a warranty period, or a company wouldn't need one.

How long does it take before it overheats when its streaming? Do you have it in a well-ventilated area?

You said it overheats with/without the battery. Are you having it charge 24/7?Is it set in performance mode, or what mode is it set in?

Yes, we have it in a well-ventilated area, keep the sun off of it and have a fan we also attach to it now and it still does the same thing. We have only used it about 8-10 times to try and record my sons' baseball games. It usually overheats within 30 minutes. Not sure what you mean charge 24/7, we don't run it except during the baseball games. We don't leave it on the charger at home, just charge it up for a couple hours and then take it off and put it back in the bag we have all the stuff in to record his games.

I'll be honest I'm not sure of the mode right now, but last season I tried all different modes and didn't notice any change. We normally have it where we remove the battery and have it plugged into a large battery pack I bought just for it. Then have the mevo camera hard wired directly to the m6pro. We have tried using the battery that came with it and it connected to the camera over wifi. So far this season we have used it 4 times. 2 of the games it overheated and quits sending signal etc after 30 minutes or so. The other 2 games it recorded/worked the whole 1.5 hours. We live in north texas, but it hasn't been that hot at all this year, recording when it is in the 70 to mid 80's outside.
