Mesh network devices for Netgear MR5100?
What mesh system will work with a Netgear MR5100? We are in a 3500 sq two-story house. Previously we managed (barely) to cover the house for cameras and security system with a Netgear Nighthawk AX6 router. At one point we had the MR5100 one one end of the house and AX6 on other end with the hotspot detached from AX6. AX6 stopped working with or without the MR5100 hardwired to it. Tried a Nighthawk AX1800, wrongly assuming (not an IT tech here by any means) Netgear products are all compatible. Or I'm doing it wrong.
Appreciate any and all pointers.

Probably doing it a little wrong.
the MR5100 has its own built in router and when you connect another router to it, it causes a double nat.
You either need to put the MR5100 in passthrough mode or the router you connect in access point mode.
but if you do need a mesh, you can buy a mesh system and connect to it.

"MR5100 has an Ethernet Port that can be connected to any WiFi Router.
A few settings in the MR5100 need to be configured correctly."
This is correct solution.
Please set your network following the steps below.
1. Connect your Mesh system's WAN port to MR5100 Ethernet port
2. Enable IP Passthrough on MR5100 to allow M5 to pass the carrier IP to your mesh system to avoid double NAT'ing.
3. You can also disable WiFi on MR5100
Thanks
