Mobile connections using LB2120 – 4G LTE Modem

I am not much of a techie and could use some help understanding the use of the LB2120 4G LTE Modem/Router. I am recently retired and was considering to purchase a Hotspot to have remote connection to use my laptop, both for basic online connection for normal tasks (bank, pay bills, emails, etc) while in more remote locations, but would also like to find something I can stream live tv. I was originally looking to use a Verizon type hotspot, but saw this LB2120. Are these 4G modems capable of allowing my laptop to operate via wifi signal, or does it require other equipment in series to gain a remote access? Hope this makes sense, but am currently in Mexico and the local internet providers are all sketchy as signals waver, buffer especially trying to stream. Any words of advice for a novice?
