Mobile internet

Need help and advise.

We're looking for a mobile router to use at home as well as traveling the US country, coast to coast.

We'll be streaming TV, movies, as well as 2 laptops, but probably not all at the same time.

We're getting confused by model number and some info mentioned what was first gen what was second gen etc.

Any help would be appreceated.

Model number 6420B vs M1 nighthawk vs MR1100 router???

We're switching carriers so it doesn't matter much which one, but we're interested in US coverage for the low price, like everyone else. It seems like Tmobile and AT&T keep coming up.

If you know of a good plan that will cover us all over the US for the mobile router as well as 2 cell phones, that would be helpful as well. But our main concern right now is the mobile router.

It's just hard to get a straight answer when everyone is pushing their own wears.

Thank you much,

Randy

    Hi Randy,

Thanks for your interests in MR1100. M1 nighthawk is also refereing to MR1100, which is a marketing name.

In North America, we have two versions of MR1100, one is for AT&T, which is Model number 6420B and one is for retail, which is MR1100-100NAS.

For AT&T version, you can get it from AT&T with their data plan.

For MR1100-100NAS, this is Netgear generic version. You can buy it it from Amazon US, then you need to find the data plan to work with the device. You can find the carrier support on Amazon product posting page.

    Thanks

      Hi John,

Thank you so much for responding

AT&T, which is Model number 6420B and one is for retail, which is MR1100-100NAS

So will the MR1100-100NAS work with AT&T, or are these two completely separate?
Is it best to find a phone/hot spot plan first?
      Thank you,
      Randy

MR1100-100NAS will work with AT&T, T-Mobile and MVNOs based on them. To use MR1100-100NAS, you need to shop around for a better phone/data plan first.

        Thanks
