MR 1100 LAN line

I just moved to rural Georgia and I work from home and need high speed internet for my work requirements. Nothing was provided for my area so I bought a MR1100 that has the port for an Ethernet cable to connect my work computer too. (My work computer does not have WiFi) I set it up and the WiFi would connect to my phone just fine but when I used the Ethernet cord to connect to my work computer it wouldn’t register it at all! Why is this happening?
I tried a different Ethernet cord and other computers and it was doing the same thing.

Is there a setting to turn on internet capabilities through the Ethernet port? Greatly appreciate!!
