I have a MR1100 (Verizon service) which I used for my primary internet connection for about 1 1/2 years. It worked flawlessly during that period. I replaced it with Starlink and disconnected and powered off the MR1100 for about one year. I now have another need for the MR1100 and am trying to reestablish service. I carried it to my local Verizon store and they installed a new SIM card and powered it up. It shows the 2.4 and 5G networks available but no devices (my iPhone or laptop) will connect. I have tried using a direct Ethernet connection but it will not connect or ping the MR1100 (192.168.1.1). I tried the factory reset button located in the battery compartment. After pressing the button and it displays 'Factory Reset in Progress - Please do not power off' it appears to be hung in that status. I have allowed this process to run for hours and it never resets. Any suggestions outside of buying a new hotspot? Thanks, Jack F
MR1100 is not Verizon certified device. So it doesn't support the brand new Verizon SIM to be activated on the device. But the device can work with Verizon SIM if you activate the SIM card on another Verizon certified device.
For example, if you have a Verizon phone, we can inserted the new SIM card in the phone first and make sure the phone can connect to Verizon network. Then you can insert the SIM to MR1100. It will work.
Thanks
