Mr1100 completely dead, won’t start, no response when attempting to charge

My mr1100 has worked well for over a year but today it won’t power on and doesn’t responded to charging. Could this be merely a fried battery ? Or is this symptomatic of a more serious issue either the unit itself.
The unit is only 13 months old (bought via Amazon in March 23
