Mr1100 data usage

I am shipping for a data plan. Will this device use the “regular” data in the package or the “hotspot” data? Most plans only come with ~10 GB hotspot data and then you are charged per gigabyte. The only plan with unlimited hotspot data in my area is Verizon, and this device doesn’t work with Verizon despite saying it’s unlocked for any carrier 🙄
