MR1100 does not store APN
Hi,
yesterday I got my MR1100 Firmware NTG9X50C_10.24.02.00, and it all works fine, just one really big issue: The unit does not store the APN. When I enter an APN profile the unit goes online and all is fine - until I turn it off and back on again.
Also when exporting the settings, the export.cfg contains not APN information.
Resetting to fatory defaults did not fix this.
This makes the device unusable for seriuos usage, and I really hope to receive a fix quite soon!

Hi,
it was the SIM. German Telekom issued for some time SIMs with an additional secure coprocessor and file vault for contactless payment services. This service is already dead, but still those SIMs are out, and it appears they behave somehow strange when it is about requesting APN or network data from them.
As it is a MultiSIM contract, I just swapped SIMs between my phone and the MR1100 - and the problem was gone :)

As the device is almost useless with such an issue, I made a ticket with the support, also a friend will visit the Netgear MWC booth in Barcelona and talk to them :)
