mr1100 hotspot moden mr60 routers set up issue

I have referenced some of the previous conversations, but am unable to find an answer to my situation.

I have reset every thing to start "fresh". I'm in a very rural area and have a MR1100 hot spot modem with AT&T. I'm trying to attach a MR60 mesh system. I have been successful in the past but had an issue with AT&T disrupting my "old" service and they made us change our plan (I'm assuming it's a 3G moving to 4/5G thing...

anyway, when I go into attwifimanager and turn on the bypass in set up, I am prompted to restart the modem. Each time I choose CONTINUE to restart the modem, I lose connection and the little blue blinking dot turns orange. I cannot tell you how many times I've reset and tried again. I've tried to not hit continue and attach the MR60 but I get the Orange on the MR60. 

Does anyone have any suggestions or advice? I'm now carrying my modem around room to room...TIA
