MR1100 LTE Sprint?

I am having trouble finding out if the M1 will work on Sprint network. Any insight about that? I would hate to buy the device and then find out it doesn't work on Sprint service. Thanks!

  • Hmmm,

Good question.  I would expect not that well.  But I don't know for sure.  Given that the device is not setup to use Spring's Massive MIMO, CA band combinations, nor CDMA, i would expect that if it works, speeds will be fairly slow (~20-40mbit).

According to the manual, here are the bands it supports

    Supported RF Bands
    Table 5. Supported RF bands
    Technology Bands
    4G LTE 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 12, 29, 30, 66
    3G 850, 1900, 2100

Gen 2 units (~May 2018 and newer also support Band 14)

Additionally, some have reported that depending on the version and firmware the device does not always save the carrier's "gateway" information (forget the exact term at the moment) and some folks have to re-enter it every time they restart the unit.

Still, you can buy one retail, full price, with no contract from either Best buy or AT&T.  It will be $199.  Buy it, try it, and return it within the return period (usu 14 days?) if it doesn't work.
