If you wish to extend the WiFI coverage of your Nighthawk MR1100 then you can add a WiFi extender to your network. 

 

You may want to configure the MR1100 WiFi range settings: access MR1100 router page, go to Settings > Setup > Wireless > Global Wireless Settings > WiFi range > you can select it either Short, Medium or Long.

I think the extender connection/reconnection performance is really determined by the exterder itself. You may need to give such setup a try to find a suitable extender to use.
