Blanca,
Thanks for the note. I have tried changing the Ethernet Standby settings several times. I've also powered on with the ethernet plugged in and with it not plugged in. No luck.
I've spoken with Netgear support a half dozen times. They will not support my device becuase it won't register. They said it won't register because I purchased through AT&T and that I'll have to get support from AT&T.
I spent an hour and a half on the phone yesterday with AT&T with no solution. They told me to call Netgear to which I explained that Netgear told me to contact AT&T. AT&T said they would contact Netgear on my behalf today. We shall see. I don't understand why Netgear won't support one of ther products because of where I purchased it. It's still their product.

Hi Drail14me
I just want to check if you were able to update the firmware to NTG9X50C_12.06.39.00

Yes, took about 3 hours to download but I did get the firmware update. However, that did not resolve the issue. I get get a not connected or unplugged notice on my MacBook and on my PC when I connect to the Ethernete port on the MR1100.

Try power on your MR1100 using a powerbank with 2A output. Then connect though ethernet port.

Nowhere under "Setup > Mobile Router Setup" is there any options or mention of Tethering. I can't find any options for "Tethering" anywhere in the "Setup" menus.
I have Ethernet Standby disabled.
