MR2100 can you run it on power only without battery

My Nighthawk router is generally in the same spot 99% of the time.  To preserve the life of the battery (prevent overcharging), I was wondering if removing the battery, and just run the Nighthawk M2 ...

    If you plan to run the device 24/7, we recommend to power on the device with the PA only without the battery. This will avoid the battery from getting hot and impacting the device's performance.
