MR2100 IP Passthrough mac user warning
Hello everyone,
On the MR2100 user manual (as in the MR1100, by the way), regarding the IP passthrough is a warning for mac users that says :
"This feature is available to Windows computer users. If you are a Mac user, do not enable this option because you will be unable to access your device."
Can someone explain technically why there is a difference between Windows and mac os (and/or ios ?) enabling the feature ? And practically, does it mean that once enabled in a mac environment, one is unable to access the settings through the app and/or a computer ?
I intend to use the Nighthawk as a modem that would deliver access to the internet via an ethernet ethernet cable to a router that manages my private wired network and delivers the wifi. Is it impossible if I am equipped with macs / ios devices ?
Thanks in advance for the answers you will be able to give me !
Thomas
You have posted your message in the section of this community given over to Nighthawk WiFi Routers. (This is easily done, given Netgear's impenetrable community structure.)
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers about your hardware, in the appropriate section for your device. That's probably here:
Mobile Routers, Hotspots & Modems
I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.
