MR2100 Nighthawk - No backup or restore options - ? firmware issue for unlocked routers

Just bought a MR2100 unlocked (with the initial release firmware) and connected to Optus network ... all seems to be working well and no problem in connecting.  I went to look at saving my settings once I had set it up and found that there was no backup or restore settings option in the "Administration" menu (as outlined in the user manual).  I contacted Netgear yesterday... looks like a firmware issue (I sent them some screenshots) thatv tehy said they would check out.

Has anyone found a similar issue when connecting to a non-Telstra network ?
