MR2100 offline firmware upgrade - how?

This is an older EE branded version of the nighthawk. I've been successful in unlocking the device by contacting EE. I can now insert other SIM cards but cannot get an Internet connection even if I change the APNs to the vendor suggestions.

So I was thinking, why not do a firmware upgrade... Sadly, it seems that firmware upgrades are only possible with a working broadband Internet connection, Now there's a chicken and egg problem....

 

Has anyone had any success in doing an offline upgrade of the firmware?

    Albertosino, Netgear has removed the offline update, but you can try to enable Data offloading in the MR2100 from another Internet source, Wi-Fi or Ethernet.

      Thanks, but I'd still need to get the firmware file from somewhere. Is it available for download?
