MR5100 not booting up

Hoping someone can shed a little light for me:  hotspot starts to boot up (battery fully charged, btw), and screen shows "Netgear", that fades, then comes back on - repeats about four times and then becomes unresponsive.  Have tried doing a reset, but nothing seems to happen.  If I remove battery and then replace, it will only repeat the above action.  Anybody else ever have this issue?  Ideas?  Thanks in advance!

    Have you tried using ac power? My 6500 was doing this without the battery and plugged in, I then kept messing with it until it finally stayed on with no battery and ac power

    Have you tried a factory reset while plugged in and hitting reset button?
