MR5100 on T-Mobile

Hello I resently purchased a Nighthawk MR5100 through AT&T, however AT&T lied to me and said doing so would not change my plan in any way. However once the MR5100 got online all of a sudden I was capped at 15GB. After a long back and forth with AT&T for a couple of weeks they told me they are unable to change my plan back and that the 15GB is the highest plan they have available. So this solution will not work for me. I had to bite the big one and pay the $500 out right for the device but I did so and had it unlocked so I can move it to a plan that can do more than 15GB. I moved over to T-Mobile and got their 100GB plan however the nighthawk with the new SIM in it keeps saying searching and doesn't connect. I've been on hold and with numerous tech support for hours and days and still no solution. I was wondering if anyone on here could help. Thanks.

  • Hi, I hope I'm not getting your hopes up too high, cause i dont have an answer, but I was wondering if you ever figured it out?

  • Prepaid 100GB plan for $55 is the best deal I could find on ATT or TMobile.

For AT&T M5, it is better to use AT&T network since the HW is limited to support AT&T bands. Some T-Mo bands are not supported.

We have a retail SKU MR5200-100NAS, which supports T-Mobile bands and we have confirmed that the device works well with T-Mo BYOD plans for 5G.

    Thanks
