MR5200 poor 5g speeds EE

Question

Somebody please help, i've come from a Nighthawk M2 to an M5 and the 5g speeds i'm getting from it are dreadful, I took the sim out of it and placed it in my Iphone 12 & was getting 300 Mbps download, then in the same room i put the sim back in the M5 and was getting 56 Mbps, surely the M5 should be wiping the floor with the Iphone, my M2 certainly did on LTE+.

I have used the default APN settings and tried tinkering with them with bits gleaned from the internet, nothing much improves the situation.

Looking through the menu it says network status 5gsub6. Band LTE B3

Is your Band Region setting: LTE and NR5G ?

I’ve tried that setting and the “ALL” setting.

Please makes sure your SIM card is 5G capable. May need to ask your carrier whether your SIM card has the 5G subscription.

This problem is often expected in few models. You should try re-configuring the device settings.

MR5200 is not having all available bands opened in “Auto” (no longer named “All”), you might need to pick up “LTE and NR5G” to try with full supported bands.
