MR6110-1A1NAS no firmware update
I just purchased a refurb AT&T branded unit (claims unlocked but I don't have the SIM yet so we'll see) and I think it's stuck on old firmware. The label under the battery shows model MR6110-1A1NAS, ...
it appears you have a at&t version MR6110.
If you are not using at&t SIM card, it won't update the firmware ...
you can manually upgrade on your own or contact some professional for the paid service to update the device
It is indeed AT&T branded. How do I do the manual upgrade?
you do manual update if you have the actual firmware file. that is likely not the case because ATT does not release these files to the public. Like what was previously said, you need to be on the ATT network for the device to auto-update. ATT branded devices are best purchased if you're intending to use it with an ATT sim. I may work on other network SIMs but it's not going to be an optimal experience.
