MR6150 cannot send SMS messages

I have an MR6150 mobile WiFi router.

I cannot find a way to send an SMS using the MR6150.

I have tried directly on the router and using the web interface to the router.

I can receive and read SMS messages on the router.

This functionality was available on previous Netgear mobile WiFi routers but seems to be missing on this router.

Am I missing something or has Netgear removed this important functionality on their new (very expensive) mobile WiFi routers?

I need this functionality since my data provider requires me to send an SMS message to upgrade my data as I use my allocation.

If it has been removed how can we request the functionality to be made available in a firmware update?
