MR6500 High Ethernet ping latency
I am using the MR6500 router connected to ethernet on my PC. When I ping the gateway over ethernet I get slow ping times ranging from 1ms to very high numbers intermittently:
However when I use the same cable and connect it to a different router I get <1ms ping times consistently:
I am using the plugged in power mode with 2.5gbps speeds selected over ethernet.
What could be the cause of this?

Look at those addresses. 10.0.0.1 and 192.168.1.1.1
You are using a MR6500. That is a mobile router. Is that the "gateway"?
Have you added a router to a router. What is this other router?
Two routers on your network can cause headaches. For example, you can end up with local address problems. Among other things, the other router can misdirect addresses that the Netgear router usually handles, such as routerlogin.net or the usual IP address for a router, 192.168.1.1.
This explains some of the other drawbacks.
What is Double NAT? | Answer | NETGEAR SupportSomewhere around here you should find details on how to use that MR6500 mobile router with a bolt-on router. But it depends on what you want to achieve.
If you put the second one, if it exists, in AP mode, that could fix the problem.

No I am not using them simultaneously, I use one at a time. That weird address was a temporary thing, they both now occupy 192.168.1.1 when i plug them in individually. The issue still persists even when I have it plugged in individually with the typical 192.168.1.1 gateway.
