Netgear 341U with OS X 10.10 Yosemite

Has anyone successfully used the Netgear 341U (Sprint) with OS X 10.10 Yosemite?

I manage to install the drivers, but nothing happens after rebooting. Sprint tech support has been unable to solve the problem. They don't even seem to know where to start.

Thanks in advanced for the help!

  • Still no luck. As Yosemite is becoming more popular, I hope new drivers are released soon.

This is very poor execution from such a major brand.
  • This is the same driver package that comes with the device. I purchased a new 341U on May 1st after upgrading to Yosemite (which would not run the old 32-bit drivers for my old Sprint card) and have been unable to make it work. When I plug the new device in, it opens the package to install the drivers. I follow the steps, then it reboots. All that happens then is it reopens the install drivers package. The one that loads from the device is the same as downloaded here: NetgearDrivers_2.2.1.

I see the posts above are several months old. I am wondering if anyone has had any success making this card work with Yosemite. I am on the verge of returning it and switching to a wireless instead of a USB.
  • I spent some more time with this and found an updated driver on the NetGear download site:

It is the first selection when you go to the link above. The release date was 1/14/2015, so I assume others who posted may have already found it, but there it is for anyone new who is having trouble.

I am using a Macbook from 2011 which I just upgraded to Yosemite, and this new driver seems to have solved the problem for me.
