AT&T manages and publishes the firmware for both the Unite Pro and Unite Explore. You must be on AT&T to receive the updates.

My Aircard has been factory unlocked and I am not in U.S. anymore. It's AT&T duty to make the firmware update available even if I am not on AT&T network. And all is needed is the "classic" sierrawireless/netgear firmware update program for windows (or linux).
I bought the device and it's not at&t property. They can't do as they want. And the MUST (or you) provide a way to upgrade it.

Also considering how many bugs it has.

AT&T doesn't have to do anything for your device. It's not on their network anymore, it's also probably out of warranty. There's no written responsibility assumed that they would service the device off of their network. I'm sure there are tools to reflash the device, but they aren't going to give it to you. I've been down this path with my own issues on the Unite Explore.

I don't care!
AT&T denies responsability and NETGEAR does that too.
The device is flawed.
Period.
And it has nothing to do with warranty.. it has always been flawed.
A sh*tty overpriced device that fortunately noit so many people bought.
