Netgear AirCard 785s won't start

I have a Netgear AirCard 785s that won't start. A few things happens:

* When I connect it via USB charger it blinks in blue and nothing happens. pressing buttons doesn't do anything

* When I connect it via USB charger and hold down eiter the power button OR both buttons it starts blinking in red and blue and goes to a screen which says "Downloading Software update" and no further. Pressing any buttons won't do anything.

* Connecting it to a pc to update drivers doesn't help anything.

* No matter what, the screen nevers shows anything other than the download screen which freezes.

 

What can I do?

    Where did you purchase the device?

     

    If this is from your Internet provider then we suggest to contact them and have the device checked. 

    If purchased from reseller, kindly contact NETGEAR support team to diagnose if this is a hardware issue.
