Netgear M1 inbound access on Ethernet connection how ?

For the life of me I cannot work out how to access devices that are connected to the Ethernet port of the M1 when offloading to my Wi-Fi?

I'm talking about inbound access via the M1's Ethernet connection to the device in question - I just can't work it out. Yes outbound works fine from the device and goes via my Wi-Fi at home - so offloading via Wi-Fi works fine 'outbound' in this respect.

But when connected like this I can't access the Ethernet tethered device 'inbound'.

Summar of the setup: [device] - [Ethernet port of M1] - offloaded to home Wi-Fi

Inbound access to the [device] is the problem.

Is there a built in Firewall stopping this on the M1 - if so I can't find it ???

  • From both the Mobile Broadband/WWAN and the WiFi, there is (of course) a NATrouter in place. The WiFi offloading is intended to provide Internet access, it does not make a pure L2 bridge fo this reason.

OK is there a workaround - perhaps programming a NAT on the wireless router ?
