NETGEAR Mobile App for iOS fails for non-default IP range

The iOS version of this application (NETGEAR Mobile App) does not seem to find the router (MR5100) if the IP range is changed from default (i.e. 192.168.1.1/24). For example, if the routers IP address is altered (via web interface) to another range (eg 192.168.254.1/24), the iOS version of the program fails to find the router. This does not seem to happen on Android version of the application. It could be a case of hard coded ranges in the release, but could not decompile app to verify this.
