Netgear MR1100-1A1NAS cannot enable Roaming

Hi,

I have a Netgear MR1100-1A1NAS (running latest firmware) that cannot enable Roaming.

This model is the North American Unlocked version which supports all bands. Its currently is using AT&T, but we'll use it overseas in places like Australia that support At&t's International Day Pass which allows me to use my plan in other countries.

If Roaming isnt enabled prior to traveling, the hotspot fails to pick up the local network and is dead in the water.

I have found that enabling Roaming prior to traveling resolves this issue.

But I cant seem to enable it even in my local country.

I log into the Admin console, then navigate to Advanced Settings > Cellular > Romaing Data.

I can click the Roaming Data box, but I cannot hit the red Apply at the bottom of the page. Also, the Band Region has a red outline in it's dropdown menu and states "Invalid Value, only allowed". This cant be changed for some reason.

I have tried Factory resets, New SIM cards, and messing with the Network bands. Nothing seems to work.

Has anyone run into this issue, and if so, have you had any success with fixing this?

I'll include a screenshot of the Admin Console.

Thanks!

  • By default, AT!CUSTOM? will show that NOROAM is set to 1. I disabled it on mine but I don't know its full effect as I have never roamed.

      Hey sena71

Where do you input this? Is it a custom APN?

      Thanks!
