Netgear MR6110 FAST in battery / performance mode but SLOW in AC only mode.
Super frustrating as I'd like to use this plugged in - in my RV long term, but as it is so slow in AC-power mode I have to run it on battery and constantly monitor so battery doesn't get cooked
Is this normal? Any tips / tricks / known issues here? For settings, I did a factory reset to start from scratch (running both Wi-fi bands (2 and 5ghz) and testing download speeds and getting great results. I then unplug, remove battery, put original USB charge back in and reboot to come up in AC power mode. Speed testing via both ethernet port and over Wi-fi both much, much slower (like 8mbs download vs. >30mbs in battery / performance mode).
I tried disabling ethernet port to see if that would make any difference - but no luck.
I would have expected the opposite - that the device would be faster on AC then on battery. I don't see that running the device plugged in 24x7 with the battery in unmonitored would be a good thing?
Grateful for any help or advice.

I have that same device and it worked fine running off just AC power. The wifi range on it was never the best so when I use it in my home, I connect it to a router for additional range. But the speeds were never an issue. Are you using the appropriate power supply? What happens if you power it off an external battery pack? I'm just curious about the RV's power supply. I've seen sketchy ones on RV's (not saying your is) that don't supply appropriate sine wave power and cause issues with more sensitive electronics.
