Netgear night mobile router M1100

Hi all,

I’ve just started using this mobile router and when I turn it on it shows 0 devices connected (as expected) But as soon as I connect my phone it shows 2 devices connected, and if I then connect iPad it will show 3 devices…so always one more than I have actually connected?

Any ideas why, and what to do about it please?
