Netgear Nighthawk 5G Pro Connection Issue?

Hello Everyone,

I had purchased a Netgear Nighthawk 5G Pro MR5100 (Mobile Hotspot). I signed up with a business plan that gives me unlimited data, and includes 5G access.

 

I received the hotspot yesterday, however I am running into a problem. The device will not connect to 5G, or even LTE. It seems to be stuck on HSPA+. On my phone I get low band 5G and/or LTE out here, so I do have coverage here. Looking for help on this. Any help is appreciated.

    What is the exact SKU number as per the label on your MR5100?  Also, which ISP are you using?

      I've had this router for 2 years. When selecting to join a wifi network, I have never seen the option for 5GHz. Now that it might be useful for some of my devices to be on 2.4GHz and others 5GHz, I am seeing in the advanced tab wireclub that there's a red X next to 5GHz as if I have not set it up. But in the Basic > Wireless page, I have enabled it, given it a name and pw. I have also rebooted my router. Still nothing. Can anyone help?
