I have the MR1100ATT as well. It overheats particularly if left plugged in and used heavily. My battery went bad and I had to replace it from this. It swelled up big. Probably lucky it didn't explode. So try running sans battery or replace the battery. Also turn it up on its side instead of laying flat to help dissipate the heat. Just works better that way.
