netgear nighthawk m1 usb drive without battery

Good day,
i'm trying to connect my Hard drive to NETGEAR MR1100-100EUS Nighthawk LTE Mobile. it works fine, but once i removed the battery, the hard drive will not work. i think there is some power shortage, myber tha power is only enough to power up the router.

any suggestion?
