netgear nighthawk m5 data offloading

hello,
I want to use a Netgear Nighthawk M5 in a motorhome.
If WIFI is offered by a campsite, for example, can I then use the Netgear Nighthawk M5 with data offloading?
I mean can I pass the campsite's WIFI through the Netgear Nighthawk M5 to other devices WIFI connected to it and thus without using the cellular network. So of forwarding from a public WIFI hotspot via the Netgear Nighthawk M5 wirelessly to other devices.

I don't find it in the manual but It is possible with the Netgear Nighthawk M2 I think?

Thanks for your answer and time !

  • The M5 doesn't have wisp mode. Wisp mode is whats needed to connect to a broadcasting wifi (that requires login which most campsitess do) and rebroadcast it after logging in/connecting to it.

There's quite a few cheap travel routers that do support wisp mode. You could always pick one up for connecting to those campsites and wire it into the m5.

then at new campsites, if they have  wifi, set the travel router in wisp mode and if not, set it up to use the wan port from the M5.

Or simply just use the M5 at those sites and the travel router at those that have wifi.
