NETGEAR NIGHTHAWK MR110

I was trying to update the Telstra / Netgear Nighthawk M1 Mobile Router to the latest Firmware NTG9X50C_12.06.08.00 but it  wouldn’t download.

I was running off 240 power without the battery in.

As soon as i disconnected the power & put the battery back in, with more then 20% charge, the update came up & download without any problems.

This is a safe measure put in to protect the device during FW upgrade. If there is no battery inserted, FW upgrade will be prevented just in case during the upgrade process, the power to the device is disconnected accidently. With battery inserted, this will be avoided.

    Thanks

      Thanks John for the explanation.
I just posted that finding, just in case someone else was doing what I did.
No one on this forum could give me the information you just did to solve my fw poblem.
