Netgear Nighthawk MR5200 Normal Operating Temp

Model MR5200-100EUS_04.02.196.00
Firmware NTGX55_12.04.10.01
Radio Band LTE B2
RSRP -85 dBm
RSRQ -11 dB

My Nighthawk is running around 55°C and the battery run around 51°C.  I want to know if this is a normal range.

 

If I have external power, would it be a good idea to run without the battery installed?  Would this allow the M5 to run cooler?
