Nighthawk M1 - Put Netgear Firmware on an ATT Branded MR1100

Is there some firmware recovery mechanism that would allow me to put the latest Netgear supplied firmware on my ATT branded unit?  I'm tired of waiting for AT&T when I use this with T-Mobile and foru...

Unfortunately, you can not change the AT&T device to use other SKU's FW.

    I have the same issue with mine. POC att web interface. It is unlocked and using t-mobile. I want the Netgear FW on it.

     

    "Can't" seems like an easy answer.

    What is the mecanism that sends the FW updates to the unit. Is there a .cfg setting that would turn this on or a "missing or commented out" line in the .cfg export? Can I use a bit blaster to send a .bin or .hex that would update it?
