Hello there, is there any way to select the LTE Band/Frequency the router should log on to? This would really help to avoid switching from a "good" cell to a bad one. With Huawei Routers I can do th...

Hi all
Sometimes my M1 stays stucked with the B20 band (the worst were i live)
I use this tweak that is working with me
I open the netgear android app, then i go to settings, then Network, and on "network mode" i switch to "manual"
The M1 then starts to check every band/internet provider and i think that it also test the speed of each band
Then i select manually my internet provider and then if i go to "advance info" i can confirm that it normally selects other band, and never the B20 (usually the B3 that in my region is much faster). That´s why i think that in manual mode it also tests the speed
Try this simple tweak just to check if the M1 selects other Band
Hope i helped

I have not got the answers from the website to my query:
1. What bands aggregates in Poland m1?
2. How to manually select bands for aggregation?
The service does not respect the customer. Today I decided - I return the router to the store.

Hello,
I have the European model of this 4G router and I would like to manually choose the frequency band to use as it is the case on other routers on the market (see Huawei).
I know that some versions of the firmware allow you to choose the frequency band of the M1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJSIBm-K-X4
I use the latest firmware but I can't choose the frequency band!(https://www.netgear.fr/support/product/MR1100EUS.aspx#Version%2012.06.01.01.00%20of%20firmware%20(firmware)?cid=global_pr)
When will this feature be available on the European model?

Well,
I cannot speak for the European or other foreign versions of the MR1100 (nor can I speak for the US version either -- just offer my unsolicited opinion).
Few if any carrier affiliated devices in the USA permit configuration/selection/deselection or affinity of/for individual cellular bands. Some don't even allow you choose which cellular technologies (GSM, 3G, 4G, LTE) are enabled.
Generally the carrier firmware version or carrier settings overlay hides/disables these options.
So, to that end, for the USA version of the MR1100 and M5 Fusion, I wouldn't hold my breath. It's difficult enough to just find out what band you are on, let alone getting to choose.
If you really want to lock down which band you're using you'll either need a foreign device (Huwei for example) or an industrial device (Mofi, Yeacom, Sierra Wireless, etc.). But finding an industrial device with a modern LTE-A capable chipset is difficult and expensive.
