Nighthawk M1 / MR1100 Firmware Update (12.05.05) Failure
I tried to update the Firmware from my Nighthawk M1 Router from 12.04.02.00 to 12.05.05.00 and it failed.
I did the following:
Downloaded the Firmware 12.05.05 from Netgear's official suppo...
I'm guessing the update is not for the EUS versions.
When updating the router says the update is not intended for this device.
I went on the dutch website and there is an update "MR1100-100EUS_23113509_NTG9x50C_12.06.03.00_00_Generic_05.01.secc" and this one works.
You may wanna change the country of the support site (bottom of the page) your country or a logical country nearby (Belgium>>> Netherlands).
And indeed, the update from within the router doesnt work.
Same problem here. There is no update button to trigger the file selection dialog. Just an error.
AT&T US version NAS
AT&T Routers don't have the ability to manually update the firmware it is locked out by the carrier. The only way to update the firmware is the check the router does that is currently broken.
